The words tradition and betrayal share the same etymology, from the Latin Tradere : to give, to transmit, to offer and to offer oneself.

The traditional music and instruments of the peasant world of Southern Italy are at the origin of our musical creation. Rural sounds, pagan roots germinated in the syncretism of folk festivities, profane and sacred.

These music are our sources, handed down and betrayed to offer them to you as a gift.

If nothing is really traditional in the Sorelli’s arrangements, everything is inspired by them, recreating a bastard and vagabond rusticity, without depriving themselves of composing new pieces and “rusticizing” songwriters’ songs or movies soundtracks.
